NOISE-CON 2017 Papers

The Pliteq engineering team presented two papers at the annual NOISE-CON meetings in Grand Rapids, MI this week. Thank you to all of the organizers and engineers in attendance for making it a truly memorable week.

The first paper was focused on GenieMat FIT, showing a correlation between force pulse and sound pressure level measurements. Our unique approach to testing material properties has enabled us to optimize system design and help engineers better predict field performance.

The second paper was a study of wood frame construction, comparing lab and field data, tapping machine and Tachibana ball results, and modified dual-rating (LIR/HIR) of various units within a development. While the floor-ceiling assemblies were the same, framing layouts and effective spans created significant differences in performance, but not in the frequency range we expected.

Both papers will be available for review on EchoOne (echo-one.pliteq.com/uk) by the end of the week.
